Among the new companys owners is Kevin Sheehan former CEO and President of NCLH , who resigned NCL in January 2015. The companys current CCO is Francis Riley . In 2019, Riley joined Bahamas Paradise as Senior VP of Sales. The companys CEO is Oneil Khosa .
In August 2016, Kevin Sheehan became CEO and President of the Las Vegas-based Scientific Games Corporation . The cruise companys other owner is Oneil Khosa . Until 2014, Blue Ocean operated short breaks leaving from Mumbai-Bombay and Mormugao-Goa.
In mid-November 2020 was unofficially announced that the ship Grand Celebration has been sold for scrap metal . The vessel left Freeport Bahamas on November 15, allegedly heading to Indias Alang Shipbreaking Yard , with estimated arrival on January 3, 2021. On January 2, the 34-years-old liner arrived and anchored off Alang, and on January 14th was beached for scrapping.

There are two ships in the Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line fleet: Grand Classica and Grand Celebration.
There arent many differences between the two different Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line ships. Their restaurants vary slightlythey have a few of the same restaurants but some different onesbut overall, the vibe is very similar and one isnt better than the other. I wouldnt pick a cruise based on the ship because theyre so similar.
Ive been on both, but if I had to pick one to go on again, I think it would be Grand Celebration. I think its the original ship, but for some reason, the vibe flowed better for me and I liked its selection of restaurants.

Ive had so many people ask me about this cruise. Its a small, inexpensive ship that departs the Port of Palm Beach for two-night trips to Grand Bahama and back.
BPCL has had another, smaller shipthe Grand Celebrationrunning the same leg for a couple years now, and after spotting the incredible Groupon deal that runs on occasion, people wonder whether the cruise is worth it essentially, for a couple hundred bucks or less, you head to Grand Bahama Island for a day, and almost everything is included in the low price of your trip .
Id never been able to give a definitive answer before because I hadnt yet experienced the ship for myself, but this weekend, I set sail on the inaugural voyage of the Grand Classica from West Palm Beach to Grand Bahama Island, and now Im back with the full scoop. I love a good jaunt to the Caribbean, and it was a dreamy weekend of sun, relaxation, and maybe a rum buzz or two.
